Maria's Breath of Life

Who Is Maria Tablada-Chung?

Those who know Maria know that she is a bundle of energy, full of love, laughter and will give you her last dime, literally! She never arrives on the scene without a gift of some sort for everyone in the room. Always thinking of others in spite of focusing on her circumstances.

This beautiful amazing woman came into my life as the caretaker for my aunt many years ago. After which she was there to nurture and love my Grandparents up to the day they took their last breaths. Not once did she complain or focus on her own issues.

Maria has battled with COPD for sometime now and it has progressively become worse over the years but being the strong woman that she is, she keeps on pushing day after day continuing to make a difference in other peoples lives.

To this day she attempts to hang closely with her family regardless of the breathing challenges she faces. Like pushing to climb the 3-story staircase in my townhouse stopping every 2 steps while struggling to breathe and not wanting anyone to assist - telling them to go ahead - she'll be there in a sec.

After my most latest experience with "Momma Maria" the thought came to mind that this women has a ton of people that she's done so much for and who love her beyond measure, WE can pitch in the funds to help her get the procedure needed and relieve her COPD, giving her the breath of life once more.

The Health Issue
For sometime now Maria has been battling with COPD. COPD has 4 stages and she is by far in the fourth stage (Very Severe). She carry's around a portable oxygen device but for those of us around her we don't see much improvement.

How Soon
The funds are needed asap. The "Cellular Restorative Treatment" is not covered by insurance and the Lung Health Institute requires payment at the time of appointment. There are no treatment centers in the state Maria lives so travel will be necessary. The best location is located in Pittsburgh, PA. Her husband, my Father, is now her caregiver and will need to travel with her. Travel costs have been included in the fundraiser amount. The procedure will require Maria to remain at the Institute for a minimum of 2 days so we have designated $2,000 for travel, lodging and local transportation and $10,000 for the Cellular Restorative treatment. We would like to schedule the procedure by end of January or February time frame.
