Maria Sheila Abaya's Funeral

Donation protected

Our hearts are broken as we share the news that 48 year old Maria Sheila Abaya passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 25th. She died from a cardiac arrest at Metropolitan State hospital. Sheila's death comes four days after she attended the burial of her mother, Josephine Abaya on July 21st, 2017.

Sheila was born on September 3, 1969 to Father, Naido Abaya and Mother, Josephine Abaya. My eldest sister, Sheila was a great role model to her younger brothers and sisters teaching them the ways of the world, including how to get out of trouble with a grin.
She held a special place in the hearts of many and touched a lot of lives including her three children: Kathleen May Wilson, 23, Katheryn Wilson, 21, and Christopher Ragsdale, 11.

Sheila was an easy-going, friendly woman and was looking forward to starting a life with her 3 children. Sheila was a humble body and enjoyed the simple things in life. She enjoyed cooking and making food for the family. She enjoyed long conversations over the phone with her children. She enjoyed spending time with her siblings. She had a kind heart and was always willing to give someone her last dollar in her pocket. Sheila also had a contagious personality, making friends everywhere she went.

Funeral arrangements are pending in the following days, but will be held in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA at Green Hills Cemetery, where her mother, Josephine Abaya has laid to rest.

I have known my sister since I was a baby. We are a family of seven and Sheila is the second eldest in my family. I am assisting her two daughters and son in creating this page with Kathleen’s permission. All funds raised will go directly to help with funeral expenses and any other related expenses as they deal with this tragic loss.

All amounts are welcome and appreciated!
Thank you for your love and support for this family!
