I am a DACAmented student attending Willamette University and I am extremely scared for my life in the upcoming years. With Trump as president I want to take more proactive measures to make sure that my family and I will stay together and continue our story in a land that has given so much to us and to which we have also contributed enourmously. I am working and saving up to file for a U Visa but recently on my campus there has been a sudden surge of interest in issues regarding undocumented students and their struggles. I was threatended with a gun while working at K Mart. I haven't taken action for my U Visa because it was traumatizing and I would rather not remember that incident. But time is running out and since fellow peers are extending help I feel safe enough to share my story and ask for help. After my 21st Birthday this year I will not be able to petition for my family under my U Visa application. My time is running out in more than one way. I want to let everyone concerned and willing to help me,
especially Kylah Clay, Michael Chen, and Tatyana Stangell
know that donating towards my legal expenses is a KEY way in helping me feel safe. I know that you all have expressed intentions to help marginalized identities, and some specifically undocumented students. The first step you can take is taking some of the financial burden through donating to my necessary expenses.
