Marcuz is the Head chef and social media editor of The Okra Project's Philadelphia Expansion, and the Executive Chef and Owner of Palate Marcú: International Kitchen out of Philadelphia, Pa.
Marcuz will undergo surgery on April 12th, and is in need of financial and emotional support pre, during, and post operation. He doesn't count with available familial aid, and cannot continue working since the surgery is in 2 weeks and he freelances. Applying for new jobs will imply him missing 3 weeks of work to heal which will potentially get him fired, if hired.

A little bit more about Marcuz:
Chef Marcú (he/him/they) is what we’d like to call a Jack of all trades who takes inspiration from his mother's African traditions. Currently a theatre student, he is also a multifaceted artist who acts, sings, directs, so much more!!
Funds needed for:
*Payment of monthly rent.
*Transportation to and from hospital pre and post surgery and for follow-up appointments since hospital is located outside of town.
*Food & medial expenses for the month.
*And any other emergencies and needs
