I will run a marathon on the 7th of October with all donations going towards the development of Precious Plastic's next generation.
Plastic is pretty bad at decomposing. So bad, that it can take up to 1000 years. We don't have that amount of time to wait.
When in the ocean, plastic breaks down into small tiny pieces, which animals "love" to eat. Then these pieces travel up the food chain, the final stop being us. If that's not enough, plastic fills the planet's landfills, beaches and oceans.
We need to start thinking of some creative ways to solve this global problem.
Precious plastic is already working towards a solution. It's a global community that allows people all over the world to start their own business by converting plastic waste into valuable items. Then, they can sell the valuable items, thus becoming entrepreneurs.
Precious Plastic provides open-sourced blueprints, tutorials and a community - everything you will need to built your own station, in order to become a local recycling hero!
