University tuition fees

Hi, my name is Mandira Tripathi, a 24 year old born in Nepal. I was raised in a local boarding school based in Kathmandu. It was my sponsors who supported me since my early education up until my undergraduate studies which I could complete with an outstanding overall performance. Having been orphaned as a baby, it was very difficult growing up without a stable girl friendly environment. During my undergraduate studies, I started working in a local NGO so that I could earn an income to be self-sufficient and to ease the financial burden for my sponsors who are retired citizens. Working in a local, not for profit organization, the salary I receive from them is enough for me to barely get by. It's hard for me to imagine to be able to pay for my master's education right now. Upon applying to the University of Westminster, UK, I received an unconditional offer from the University. However, due to the inability of further support from my sponsors and the circumstances as such, I shall not be able to fund my education. With the support from generous people like you, I would be able to complete my master's that would enable me to become independent and not let my circumstances deprive me of gaining an international master's degree in an esteemed institution.

I have been able to accomplish a lot with the resources and opportunities that I have been provided with and  my achievements have made me the person I am today and they form an integral part of my life. I have been actively involved in extracurricular activities since my school days and have won numerous awards in programs held within the school and in inter-school competitions. I won the first place in an inter-school oratory competition titled “Corruption and its impact on Home and Society” organized by Rotary Club of Kathmandu, North East in 2007. I was also an active member of the Nepal scouts and was selected to represent my country in the Jamboree “kilke” organised in Evo, Finland in 2010. I have volunteered in support of rural communities to access health care and was voted ‘Best Volunteer’ by the project. I’m a campaigner - among others. I helped organise a campaign to ban plastic in a rural community where plastic was having a detrimental impact on villagers. Today, the members of the village are aware of the dangers of plastic bags and are now better informed of its disposal methods and I consider this to be one of my biggest achievements. I also won Nepal's Top 7 debaters in the Bachelors English category in 2014. I was also one of the organising members for the World’s Largest Tree Hug event organised in 2014. In 2015, I won two awards namely; the Victoria Business School Highly Commended Team Award and the Commitment Award for a plan I developed in collaboration with students from six different countries to address the needs of the vulnerable people in society.

I garnered a deep passion for management practices, strategies and techniques while I was doing my Bachelors in Business Administration. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I have performed extremely well in academics and developed good relationship with all my teachers and classmates. I was credited by most teachers for having great leadership and managerial skills. During my studies, I also felt that an International Master’s in Management can further aid me in developing skills to compete at a global level and also to contribute at a local level.

The "Go fund me" website is my only hope to raising enough funds so that I can cover my education expenses.  With many successful "Go Fund Me" campaign stories in the past, I am seeking your help and support so that I can pursue my master's degree and be able to give back to the society.

I will forever be grateful for every bit of support.

Thank you :)
