I’m desperately asking for a break. I was sexually assaulted on two separate occasions in the last year by a retired state patrol officer, and have been struggling ever since to stay afloat. I reported the incidents to the police, and am working with an investigator. I have PTSD, and lost my job due to symptoms at work. Most recently, I sold my former engagement ring on Facebook Marketplace, later to find that I was scammed. I’m now left 3 months behind in rent, instead of 2. I’ve been looking for a new job, but it’s been hard trying to juggle it with an investigation and my own emotional turmoil. Any amount would be helpful as I continue healing and looking for a job, however, I would really like to recover the $800 from my stolen ring, as I was depending on it for rent and utilities this month.
