Malin to Mizen for Saplings Kilkenny and Carlow

Saplings are schools specifically for children with Autism and Complex Needs.  Students who attend Saplings do so mainly because the severity of their Autism impacts greatly on all aspects of their daily life and they need the high level of behavioral support that only a school like Saplings can provide. Many of the students come from failed placements in other mainstream, ASD units or special schools because they need the specific interventions of a very specialised setting with the high staff to student ratio of 1:1 support.   Saplings relies heavily on the fund raising of volunteers and community groups, parents and the wider community to help continue the good work that they do and give the children the many opportunities they deserve.

This year’s event consists of a vintage tractor run from Malin Head Co. Donegal to Mizen Head Co. Cork. Friends of Saplings would be extremely grateful for any donation you could give.
