Make Wrexham a Town of Sanctuary

We want to make Wrexham a Town of Sanctuary:  a welcoming place of safety for all, where we are proud to offer sanctuary to people fleeing violence and persecution. Wrexham already welcomes some asylum seekers and Syrian refugees. We value the contribution refugees and asylum seekers make to our communities, and believe there is more we can do to make Wrexham a welcoming place. We'd like funding to launch the campaign at an event in February, and to work over the long-term, committing local organisations, schools, and businesses to welcoming refugees and asylum seekers.  If successful, Wrexham will be awarded Town of Sanctuary status.  The money raised here will go directly to local charity TCC.  If you are eligible for Gift Aid an extra 25% will be added to your donation. Donate:  Anything and we'll send you a special invitation to the launch event. £20 or more and we'll send you a car sticker as an extra thank you.
