Make Ellie Better

About a month ago I adopted a sweet puppy named Ellie. A few weeks later Ellie experienced a seizure and after spending a weekend in the animal emergency hospital she was not better. With a visit to our vet, we discovered she has a liver shunt. A liver shunt is a blood vessel which compromises the the blood flow to the liver, this then causes the liver to not work and creates a build up of toxins in the body. This is what caused Ellie to have a seizure and other neurological issues. The treatment for this requires a costly surgery, without it her lifespan will be limited to just under a year. For the time she was not home there was an emptiness in the house and her brother Duke was sad without his partner in crime. Ellie is a significant member in my little family and with only being 3 months she has so much life ahead of her. I appreciate all that you can give even if it is just a little. If you have met Ellie you know how wonderful she is and how much love she gives. So lets get her healthy so that she can continue to spread her puppy kisses!
