Hello all!
My name is Maggie, I am a genderqueer/trans masculine person working in higher education! I began my transition earlier this year, and immediatly began looking into top surgery. My chest has always been my biggest form of dysphoria. I often times feel unattractive, not myself, and many other negative feelings toward my body because it does not represent who I am. I am not fond of asking for help, but since I live in a state that allows for insurance companies to discriminate against gender confirming surgeries, I can not afford to become the best version of myself without your help. The surgeon that I am going to charges 8,500 dollars out of pocket for this procedure. I am trying to save as much as I possibly can to go towards the procedure, but my fear is that I will not be able to schedule and pay for my surgery, and also have time to heal before my marriage in September 2017. I do not want to spend one of the most important days of my life stuggling with who I am and that my body does not represent me. Anything you can donate will help.. I will be forever grateful and will help you in whatever way I can to show my gratitude. Thank you for helping me become who I really am!
