Maev's 32km Catalina Channel Swim

I am planning to attempt the 32km Catalina Channel swim in September 2017, which is between Catalina Island and the mainland of Southern California, USA. The swim is held overnight, starting at 11pm.
I have previously completed many 5km, 10km and 20km open water and lake swims. In May 2016, I became the 24th person to complete the 20km Lake Argyle Swim in the Kimberley, Australia.
With your support, I will be able to access the required boat pilot and a support crew, with some of the funds also going towards training, equipment and nutrition. I will personally fund travel for my support crew.
The Catalina Channel Swim is part of the Triple Crown of Open Water Swimming (Catalina Channel, English Channel, Manhattan Island), which I hope complete.
