TEAM KJ - A Letter from Heaven

Never in a million years does one think that you would be in a position to be an open book during a time of pain and heartache in search of help from family, friends, co-workers, neighbors.....anyone with a kind & loving heart.  This is a story about my handsome, smart, funny, talented, kind, soft-spoken and adventurous nephew.....Kevin B. Jackson II (he is known by his family and friends as 'KJ').  He has a heart bigger than the state of Texas and his hugs are even bigger.  Life, so precious, can change in a moment's notice and dreams of things to come are suddenly paused.  My nephew, KJ, graduated from Pine Tree High School (Longview, Texas) on May 31, 2019.  An accomplishment that his parents, Tiffany Stephens Jackson & Kevin Jackson, are so very proud of.   'KJ' has many hobbies...from playing basketball, fishing (competitively), rodeoing with his dad, being his mom's side kick, and just hanging out with his 'grannies' (which he loved to do!).  A handsome young man with a bright future and sky's the limit.....had his entire life suddenly and unexpectedly placed on pause.   From what was going to be a fun & relaxing 4th of July weekend...turned in to a nightmare that no parent ever wants their child to experience.  It started with pain in his left arm, unexpected seizures, fatigue, having to be hospitalized in Longview, TX, transferred and now hospitalized in Houston at Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital.  My nephew, now in a hospital bed, with an unknown medical condition that has him in and out of consciousness, a feeding tube for nourishment, utters a sound/word here and there,  and currently undergoing testing and procedures to figure out what is going on and how to treat his condition.  His parents and family, although devastated, are a praying family and know that one day...soon - their son, our nephew, grandson, cousin, brother, friend  - 'KJ' will be healed and back to loving life.  The doctors say 'KJ' has a long road ahead of him and he very well may remain in the hospital for 3 months, 6 months or longer and recovery to follow.  I am asking each of you......family, friends, anyone with a kind heart to please help 'KJ' by giving from your heart....any amount is greatly appreciated.  He will need all of the support, love and prayers that he can get.   His parents, my sister-in-law and brother-in-law, need any help they can get - from 'KJ's' mom no longer employed because the company she worked for for years filed bankruptcy and 'KJ's' father putting in work when he can while both parents take turns sitting at their son's bedside praying  and waiting for any sign of improvement.  With the unknown diagnosis and unknown length of stay in the hospital.....medical bills are going to accumulate and his parents would be so very grateful for anything you can give.   I love each and every one of you for taking the time to read about my nephew and my  husband Alonzo 'Zo' Stephens and I, along with 'KJ's' parents and family, are forever grateful to you.  May God bless & keep you.....
