It's been a while since I've updated this forum. If you've been following the “Mae All The Way” page on Facebook you should be fully updated on Avery Mae's current situation. We were all hoping that Avery's final scans post chemo, radiation, and surgery would show all clear results...however that wasn't the case. Two small nodules still remained in her lung. Doctors decided they wanted to remove the nodules to make sure they are not cancerous.
Yesterday, November 27th, Avery underwent a long surgery to remove the nodules; pathology results will be back no later than Monday hopefully. Surgery went well, however, her pain and discomfort is extremely overwhelming for her and her parents to watch.
With all that said, I wanted to express how grateful and thankful we all are for every prayer, kind thought, well wish, gift, shoulder to cry on, and every act of kindness shown to Avery and our family during this very difficult and long process. We cannot even begin to express how every little thing has helped make this unbearable experience a little bit easier for Avery.
When Avery's treatment plan began we thought it would be all over by now. Chevonne has ran out of PTO at work and has had to miss several days, if not weeks of work to be there with Avery for scans, blood test, surgeries, etc. The generosity from others has defiantly helped with the financial burden of missed income.
Again, thank you all so very much for the prayers and generosity...it is appreciated beyond words! Please continue to pray for Avery, she will remain in the hospital for a few more days. Updates will be posted on the "Mae All The Way" page on Facebook.
