Madeline's Hospital Fees

Madeline Rose was born on March 26, 2017. She was struggling while Amy labored but it wasn't until she was acutally out that we realized why.
Amy's body had created Anti-bodies against poor Maddie's blood and her blood cells were being destroyed causing her to be extremely anemic and needed blood. She also has pulmonary hypertension and very bad jaundice. She was immediately taken to the NICU at St. Agnes for care. She is very sick and struggling. The great doctors and nurses at St. Agnes realized she needed more specialized care and decided to transfer her to the NICU at John's Hopkins on Monday, 3/27.
She as been there ever since showing her strong spirit and working hard to get better. She is hooked up to a ventilator that is working to push oxygen into her blood. She spent most of the first week of her life under photo-therapy lights trying to get her Jaundice under control. They have given her several units of blood as well.
She is a feisty little girl and each day seems to make small improvements. We are all praying that she continues to show improvements and can be home with us soon!
