Maddie's Mexico Mission #3

Dear friends,

How are you? I hope that God is doing wonderful things in your life just as He is doing in mine. I wanted to inform you that I am planning on going to Cancun, Mexico for a mission trip with my church, Shin Kwang Church of New York (뉴욕 신광교회), during the second to last week of August (8/19-8/24). I was blessed to go the past two years to help out and now I have another opportunity to be able to go this year. I will be helping out at a VBS and spending time with kids to help them learn more about God. Our church also plans to go evangelizing in the streets of Mexico during the free time we have. So far we have been planning many presentations for the VBS such as crafts, games, and bible study along with Korean cultural performances such as fan dancing and Taekwondo for the past 2 months. As we near the date of this upcoming trip, I invite you to help out our mission team. First and foremost, I ask that you would pray for us. Not only is Cancun very dangerous, but some of our members are preparing at a slower rate than last year’s members so we kindly ask that you would pray for our safety and for His will to be done through our actions. Secondly, I would also like to request financial support. The cost of this mission trip is $700.00 per person and our church is paying for half the price. This means that I will need $350.00 to be able to fulfill my financial obligations. Any amount would be greatly appreciated, but our priority is prayers that God will be glorified through our mission and through the kids of Mexico.
