All the employees at the original Black Bear Diner in Mt. Shasta, Ca has opened this Go Fund Me account in honor of our co-worker Gay Hagedon.
Gay has been employed at the Black Bear Diner for over 21 years is one of the first hired with the company. She is a hard working, always has a smile on her face and is a true giver at heart. She is loved not only by her co-workers but all the customers that enter through the doors of the diner. She not only is dedicated to her profession but also prides herself on taking great care of her customers, People stop by Mt.Shasta to eat and Sit in her section to see her smile and her great attitude on life.
Gay was diagnosed with Heart Disease almost a year ago and is in need of surgery, Due to her current medical insurance her copay is $6,000.00, And as most people agree this amount of a copay is a rather large sum to come up with on a server salary. So she continues to go to work everyday as if nothing has happened. Her coworkers decided to do nothing was unexceptable and decided to put together a Go Fund Me Account for her. She is a very prideful woman and would never ask any one for any help. So here we are.To make matters worse approximately 3 weeks ago She blacked out and hit the floor hard causing major knee damage and now is in need for surgery for her knee as well. Luckily that surgery is covered by workmans comp. She will probably be out of work for months. Any Money that exceeds the $6,000.00 copay she recieves via this Go Fund Me Account will be applied to her cost of living due to being unable to work. Gay continually gives to anybody that is in need. Its now her time to recieve. Please help us help her get the Heart surgery that she so desperately needs. Lets all rally together in honor of Gay, If anyone deserves this help its her and trust me she will pay it forward.
In this day and age things are tight on everyone but if everyone can give a little we can reach our goal in no time.
