Flood Relief Fund For Andy & Sara In Fishlake.

On 08/11/19, our home in the village of Fishlake, Doncaster was severely flooded. Heavy rains that week caused the River Don to burst it's banks & we were evacuated by the police & fire services at around 930pm.
The water was deep & continued to rise until the early hours of the following morning.
The entire village was evacuated.
We have cats & dogs. The cats had to be shut upstairs & the dogs were rescued with us. After evacuation, Emily stayed with her elder sister but as we had the dogs & she lives in an upstairs flat, we had to stay in the car overnight in freezing temperatures, wearing damp clothes.
Our home is a bungalow with one upstairs bedroom. As Andrew cannot get upstairs due to his disability, our bedroom is downstairs. This means we will not be able to return to the property even when the flood water has been pumped out, as everything will be ruined by the floodwater.
At the moment, we are staying a a hotel but due to cost this is not something we will be able to continue doing. The dogs are in a local kennels, this is another cost that we will have to find funds for at this difficult time.
The damage caused by the flooding will take a while to rectify & it will not be easy for us to get back into our home.
We hope to find some temporary accommodation that will allow us to take our dogs with us & hope to raise money to contribute to these costs, as well as the costs of clothing, food & other essentials.
