Hi everyone,
As you know I have been battling cancer for the last 6 years. Despite initially being given an all clear, the cancer returned and this time i had to deal with the devastating news that it was incurable.
I have been lucky enough to receive treatment that has given me a couple of extra precious years with my family, knowing that with each new treatment, the likelihood of success at keeping the cancer at bay will get less and less.
Very recently my world fell apart when the news we have all been dreading finally came; my body was no longer responding to treatment and now there is nothing the doctors can do for me.
It means the time I have left with my girls is now very limited and I am determined to make every moment that I have left matter.
Because of the length of my illness, I haven't been able to work for many years and I am now facing the reality of trying to ensure my girls are as financially secure as possible as they live their lives without me.
The weight of covering my funeral cost is bearing down on me as I spend my last few weeks with my girls. and my family. It breaks my heart to have to do this, but to know that the burden of my funeral cost will not be carried by family as they grieve my loss is something that will give me peace of mind as I prepare them for a life without me.
I am therefore hoping my friends, wider family and the community around me can be so generous as to come together and help me cover the cost of my funeral.
Celebrate my life with me by ensuring that my girls wont be further penalised as they start their young adult lives without their mum.
