Living with fibromyalgia
Donation protected
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia back in September, and it has been a long and arduous process to get my pain managed. I am still trying to find the right doctor, and am unable to work. I was on a leave of absence, but my employment was terminated in January when I was unable to provide a return date. I have twice been denied short term disability for my leave of absence, and am still fighting to get that 10 weeks of pay I am owed,
I have applied for Social Security Disability, and am waiting to hear back on that. It may take a long time to get approved, and I will very likely be denied the first time because of my age.
I am unable to even do basic househole chores. My roommates do all of that for me and when my pain levels are very high, they practically wait on me hand and foot to keep me as comfortable as possible.
I was okay financially for a little while, but expenses add up and now I am in panic mode trying to get my rent and bills paid, so I am having to ask for the kindness of others to help me out. If you can even spare $1, that is one step closer to me being able to survive and stay housed and fed while I go through this difficult time of dealing with being newly disabled.
The goal is enough for me to pay rent and bills for a few months, as I expect it will take at least that long to find out about my social security claim.
If you cannnot contribute monitarily, please share this so that other people who may be able to can see it.
Thanks,
Stephani
