UWander: Dominican Republic Program

The week of April 19-26 is well known as Spring Break for Lawrence Public Schools. Instead of going on a vacation, I will be traveling to Dominican Republic with a team of other professionals to serve as volunteers at a local high school.
To prepare for this experience, our team is actively participating in a wikispace and group meetings to learn important background information related to the issues that we would be witnessing firsthand while we're on the trip.
I'm sharing this with you because this experience is very important to me. Part of our team's collective responsibility is to include others in our experience, before and after the trip. I'm writing to invite you to be a part of this journey with me. I'm writing to ask you for your prayers and thoughts about this experience, and if possible, your financial assistance.
Every participant going on this UWander trip is responsible for helping to defray the cost of our travel and to support the site we will be visiting. Any contribution that you are willing to make in support of my trip is greatly appreciated, and I hope you will agree that it will be money well spent.
