On June 8th Lyndon Geates was struck by a pickup truck while out for a ride on his motorcycle. He was in critical condition and was rushed to Red Deer Hospital and went into surgery almost immediately. He has since been transferred to a Hospital in Calgary where he has had 4 additional surgeries in an attempt to save his leg which now only has 1 out of 3 working veins and arteries. He also had several broken, shattered and fractured bones throughout his leg and
his hand which he also had surgery on. He had a muscle transplant and skin graft to attempt to save his foot as well. He recently had his 5th surgery to repair his knee yet again after a piece of the hardware had come off due to the level of trauma he has been through the past few weeks. He is stable but still in a very critical condition. He is looking at a long road to rehabilitation.  They have been told by paramedics, surgeons and police that the full armored leather suit is the reason he survived.

Lyndon has been working as a pizza delivery driver trying to pay down his student loan so he can resume his schooling to complete the masters program to be able to do brain injury and trauma, diagnosis and treatment. He has a Bachelor's of Science majoring in psychology. He has worked at Boston Pizza as the full time delivery driver for the past 2 years, and it is yet unclear if and when he would be able to return to work. His wife Stephanie has been by his side as often as possible, having to take time off work to be there for emotional support and to help with physical care, due to his limited mobility. To do this she has had to travel back and forth from Calgary incurring expenses of gas, hotels and food while on the road. Though she has tried to keep the cost down by staying in the room (no longer available) and using hostels, the cost has been adding up fast. Though vehicle insurance is involved it takes time to process claims meaning a difficult time ahead for both of them.

I have the pleasure of working with them both and can honestly say they are the most kindest people, both are very hard working. We all are praying for a speedy recovery, if you are able to help I know they would appreciate it. Thank you
