Lyme Treatment for Adrienne
Donation protected
Hi all,
As many of you know I have Lyme and many co-infections. We believe I was infected as a child, and again in my 20's. I was diagnosed almost 2 years ago, and have been pursuing many different forms of treatment that have helped a lot. Even though I am better than I was 2 years ago, my body is still rebelling in new and scarier ways. My amazing practitioners have ordered me to take a sabbatical from teaching during this treatment. This breaks my heart, as teaching brings me so much joy and fulfillment. My private practice is remaining open for as long as I can work. I am the primary provider for my family so have no choice in this part.
Immunotherapy and ultraviolet light therapy are the next steps. I have found an immunotherapy clinic near by that specializes in Lyme and the co-infections. They see best results in people who can stick with this therapy for 18 months to 2 years. Of course, insurance won't pay for this treatment. So I need help. The sooner I can begin this treatment the better. The UV light therapy is done a bit farther away, but has yielded great results for many with Lyme. So I am hopeful.
If you cannot donate money, I can use help around my house and yard. My chronic fatigue is really bad, and my muscles are usually cached by Friday. Taking my kids to play also helps.
It feels strange to be doing this with everything else going wacky in the world, but I consider myself a fighter. I need to get well to keep the good fight going, to continue serving families and my community, and to raise my children to be decent human beings.
Thank you for supporting me, thank you for believing in me.
