Help Lindsay’s Battle with Lyme and Toxic Mold

Donation protected
5 years ago, a small insect carrying a deadly bacteria bit Lindsay and changed her life forever. Unbeknownst to her the tick was carrying Lyme disease it left her with lots of unexplained symptoms, unanswered questions and a life that has been changed forever. For the last 5 years Lindsay has experienced multiple symptoms of a neurological disorder: vision problems, constant dizziness, nausea balance problems, head pressure, Body aches heart palpitations, severe headaches, neck and spine pain, brain fog, anxiety with panic attacks, teeth pain and motion sickness so bad she cannot drive far. After endless appointments and being told there was nothing wrong Lindsay was finally diagnosed with Neuro Lyme Disease. Treatment for Lyme Disease is reversible if it is found early; however, Lindsay’s case is advanced. The treatments that Lindsay needs are through doctors that don’t bill through insurance and ask for payments up front. Lindsay and Nick her husband have burned through all of their savings and now have medical debt. They are desperate to find some relief for Lindsay and have tried so many things and seen dozens of doctors. This year Lindsay and Nick started to notice brain impairments worsening vision stemming from neuro-inflammation, brain fog and developing issues with short-term memory and word recall. A new diagnosis for both of Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome CIRS for short was given when they found out they were dealing with a toxic mold problem in their home. Lindsay and her family have been told they need to find a new home to live in and will have to leave EVERYTHING behind because air-borne mold toxins attach to anything porous (clothes, electronics, books, photos, furniture, linens etc.), if they brought all of their belongings they would continue to expose their bodies to the mold that is making them all sick. Both Lyme and Toxic Mold Exposure are wildly recognized as a health hazard but because neither of these diseases are recognized by health insurance companies. We are asking for your help to get Lindsay and Nick back on their feet. Lindsay still has many treatments to go to gain her quality of life back. Even under the tremendous strain of her health she has continued to raise her 4 children (Logan 13 Alexis 11 Lola 11 and Savannah 11) and is graduating this spring with a double major in criminal justice and law enforcement. This is someone who NEVER gives up even though life is throwing every obstacle it can in her way. She wants to get back to working and heal. How we can help Lindsay and her family:They need to move into a new home and replace their belongings. The mold spores cling to literally everything. Therefore, they cannot take anything with them into their new home They are looking for a new home in the cities and hope to move by the next school year.Funds are appreciated to help replace the things that they must leave behind and to help pay for the medial treatment that insurance will not. Also lobbying with your congress man/woman is appreciated so that we can change what they will cover in terms of treatment of Lyme’s and Mold borne diseases.Thank you for taking the time to read their story and helping them start over in a safe and healthy home. Please feel free to share! Thank you, The Hayeks.
