Hi everyone!

Thank you for visiting our page!  We are both very excited about our upcoming wedding!
We cannot believe it's right around the corner!  I feel like we JUST picked the date.

To begin, Ben and I are creating this gofundme.com page for 2 main reasons...

1.  The Very-Near-Future Mr. & Mrs. Harrison:  Newlywed SAVINGS

THIS IS OUR REGISTRY!
This is in place of a traditional registry.
We are approaching our 8 year anniversary... we have accumulated the items that a traditional registry would generally entail. Therefore, we feel that another toaster, another set of silverware, etc. is really not necessary. Really.  Any amount contributed towards our Newlywed SAVINGS, our future family would be more than grateful.

Because Ben and I are just having a small wedding...
This is also for anyone who would like to celebrate with us and be there with us but can't and have asked us "but what's your registry?".   Well, we don't have one.  This is it!
And we would love to be able to invite so many more extended friends and family but unfortunately, it is just not possible with our intimate count.

But we love you all who are thinking of us and wishes us well!

2.  WE DESPERATELY  NEED HELP WITH MY MASSIVE HOSPITAL BILLS!

Our "goal amount" may seem insane... but these hospital bills are even more insane! Anyone one who has walked in an ER knows thats just the fee for walking in and sitting down in the waiting room pretty much muchless being in the ICU.  But we have to start chipping away at this debt somewhere. Maybe somehow a glitch will happen and my file will be deleted in the system and I will have a zero balance :D! YAY! One could dream. haha.

We've known for years now that we wanted to grow old together.  That thought came to a crashing hault when I was rushed to the ER and "CODE WHITE" was called on me at 29 years old laying there starring up at about 15 or so people surrounding me:  nurses, doctors, phlebotomists, etc.

"Did the doctor just say I'm having a stroke right now?... But I'M THE NURSE." - that day changed not only my life, but both of our lives forever.

I was so lucky; given the circumstances.  I survived a stroke at 29.   I learned how to hold a fork up to my mouth to eat again; and on days when I would get too tired to, Ben would be there to help me eat.  I learned how to feel the ground and walk again, that was the most bizarre and most frustrating feeling.  On days when I was too tired to walk any more, Ben was lying right next to me, keeping me company.  My short term memory was shot for a while! That was fun! Couldn't remember what I was doing in an aisle at a store. haha. Dang it!  He never complained, he just whole heartedly loved me no matter what was thrown at us.   Ben never made me feel like I couldn't do something again no matter how hopeless I may have felt at that moment.
He never gave up for me.

Having to go through something that no one should even have to experience in their elderly years together much less have to experience it in your late 20s together and learning to love each other even more through the uneven and rugged terrain is the truth that only our hearts will ever understand.

Some days were better than others.  Some days the stress got the best of us. Some days were full of tears and frustration, if not from me from Benjamin.
As time went on, things healed and progess presented itself.  And then what happened?

THE BILLS CAME   R O L L I N G   IN. The itemized ones were the ones that killed us the most... to see EVERY LITTLE THING that you were charged for.
But what can we do?  In America, land of the free, we pay for our lives.

But, honestly, I am beyond grateful... I am alive and well sitting here writing this and soon marrying the love of my life.

So there you have it!  Those are the reasons we are choosing to ditch the traditional wedding registry and go with this modernized version.

With Much Love,

Jenn & Ben

P.S.  Oh and if anyone knows and wants to link Justin (Timberlake of course.) or Ellen to our site, please do.  ;)
We are definitely extending a wedding invitation to them!

OUR SAVE THE DATE...
Our favorite show from the very beginning of our relationship was How I Met Your Mother.  This show got us through the best of times and the worst of times together. When we didn't have cable because we didn't have the money for it, this DVD seasons 1 and 2 played on repeat over and over again.  We watched EVERY episode religiously when they aired when we finally got TV!  We followed the show and the characters in the show to the point where they almost became our friends... it was kind of sad.  Haha.
If you know the history of the show at all, you know that the main character, Ted Mosby is biggest hopeless romantic in the best way possible.
This show kept us believing in love when times were the craziest in ways that is hard to explain.

...and that kids, is how the idea for our SAVE-THE-DATE (below) came about :)
