Matthew Benn, UFD Memorial Fund
Donation protected
Our friend and brother firefighter Matthew Benn unexpectedly passed away February 7, 2015. Matt was a devoted father, friend, and firefighter. This fund is being established to help Matt's family and to provide a secure future and education for his two loving children Hailey and Ethan.
Matt was devoted to the community through his service as an EMT and firefighter. He served as the Assistant Chief with the Sauquoit Volunteer Fire Department and was currently employed with the City of Utica as a firefighter and EMT. He also had previously been employed at Edwards Ambulance Service. Matt took his responsibility as a first responder very seriously and was always available to help others in times of emergency. He led by example with his professionalism and compassion. He will be greatly missed by us all.
We are hoping to ease this sudden and tragic loss to his family by helping them with future expenses for his two children who were the light of his life. Although we cannot ease their pain, we can help provide stability to ensure that Matt's children have the best life possible. Any donation you can give would be appreciated and would help make a difference in the lives of two children whose lives will never be the same.
On behalf of his brother firefighters, UFD Local 32 Professional Firefighters thank you so much for your help.
