Hello!
We would first like to say Thank You for visiting our page. My name is Jarred I am 12years old. I am in the 7th gradeHoly Family School. I love to play basketball, soccer and tennis for my school.
On December 11,2014 my life and my families life changed forever. On that day I was diagnoised with Type 1 Diabetes. I spent 4 days in Kosair Childrens Hospital. I had a blood sugar of 1020. My mom said a normal blood sugar is below 120. My mom told me that I could have died or went into a coma. I am very lucky to be here. I also like to ride everything from a regular bike to 4 wheelers. I also like to play outside with my friends. Since my diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes, my mom has got me involved with JDRF. I am a Youth Ambassador trying to raise awareness about this disease.
My mom and dad are very hard workers, but we struggle to pay my medical bills and getting all my diabetes supplies. I have to visit the my diabetes doctor every 3 months and my regular doctor every 6 months. I have my blood taken at least once a year to make sure I don't develop any other autoimmune diseases. I also see my doctor anytime I feel sick, I can get sick rather quickly.
My parents can not get any help from the state programs because they make too much money. If you would like to help us out please donate ANY amount you can.
