My name is Amanda and I'm helping to raise funds for The Gutierrez Family - Ray, Leslie, Josh, and Natalie of Spring, Texas who lost their home and all of their possessions in a devestating house fire Saturday, February 7th.
At 10:30 PM Saturday evening, I checked my facebook and saw a post from Leslie asking for prayers that their house had burned to the ground. Her husband Ray had been home alone with their dog Duke when the fire broke out. Leslie was hundreds of miles away visiting her mom and family back home in Dothan, Alabama when she got the call. At midnight, she'd still not made it to Houston. As of this morning, Sunday, the 8th, the family is scattered around Spring and trying to figure out how to start over. Let's help them rebuild!!!
If you know the Gutierrez's, you know the house on Anzalone was the place to be for any occassion for the past 12 years - birthdays, Christmas, New Years, Superbowl, graduations, baby showers, wedding showers, Sunday bbqs, or just because. Ray and Leslie opened their home to many a houseguests, family and friends who were in need or just wanted to hang out. The two met as teenagers and have been married over 20 years. They raised two sons at the Anzalone house - Jonathan and Joshua and have been helping to take care of their first grandbaby, little Natalie. They've been longtime residents of Spring, Texas and everything they own, pictures, clothes, furniture, keepsakes, baby crib, toys, everything were damaged in the fire. Let's show our support and help the Gutierrez's rebuild!!!
If you don't know the Gutierrez's, they are the funnest, sweetest, hardworking, most generous people. Ray was at home alone with Duke, their dog, when the fire broke out. It all happened so fast. Duke ran back in the house and had to be rescued and resuscitated along with two injured firefighters. Ray made it out and was heartbroken, crying when he made the call to his wife who was hundreds of miles away visiting her mom and family in Dothan, Alabama as she often tries to do throughout the year.
A good friend offered to drive her back home. As of midnight, she'd still not made it to Spring to be with her family and see her home. They don't quite know where to start. This will be a long road, but let's help them see miracles! Please show your support for the Gutierrez family. Anything you can donate will be monumental. Let's help them rebuild!!!
