Josh Harden Medical Fund

I am trying to raise money to help my 31 year old son Josh Harden who is scheduled for open heart surgery on March 17th of next month.
He was working at Great Dane as a sherer operator, making panels for semi-trailers. He was finally able to get insurance and went to see a doctor the end of October last year. He had been having tightness in his chest and short of breath for a while, but just worked thru it to support his family. The doctor heard a heart murmur and was not happy that he had not come in much sooner. He quickly scheduled him for a echo stress test. They were not able to even do the stress part of the test. His heart was not able to handle it. A cardiologist came right into the room at the hospital. He told him he could not go back to work and started him on meds. He has not been able to work since then and continues to get worse on an almost daily basis.
Josh was diagnosed with severe hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. This is a genetic heart condition and his grandfather and aunt both died suddenly from it.  So within 3 weeks of being diagnosed, he was in surgery getting an ICD placed. He has had to go into see his cardiologist every 2 weeks for med changes. Has had a heart cath. He has failed medical treatment. At this point he can not sleep laying down, can not walk any long distances without chest pain or shortness of breath, and gets dizzy with any sudden changes in position. He frequently has pain just sitting on the couch. He now has to have open heart surgery to thin the wall in his heart. He has to go to the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota for this surgery.
Josh has a 10 year old daughter Mady. She is the light of his life, he has her every other week. She is really struggling with the possibility of losing her father. He and she have moved in with me, his mother. His fiancé  of a year and a half could not face taking this journey with him. So they split up. He has such an awesome outlook on this and is handling it with such grace. His relationship with God has been his rock. He faces not knowing when or if he will be ever be able to go back to work. Or, if he will even make it thru surgery.
We are managing the day to day expenses as best we can. But there is none left over to make this trip. We have to plan on about 10-14 days up there. I plan on going to be there for him. I will need a hotel and we will have travel expenses.
Josh is a great guy and would help any one who needed it. He loves diesel trucks, dirt track racing. He is a great mechanic, but will have to limit that because of his ICD. His life is forever changed. His plan for this racing season was to help us again run the wrecker at Bloomington Speedway. Not sure if he will be able, but I know he will be in the stands when he is up to it. He makes the trip to the World Finals every year with us in Charlotte NC.
Please help us make this happen without the stress of the financial burden of trying to get there.
