Lungs 4 Debbie

I am asking for any and all help I can get. My mom Debbie Francis was diagnosed with a very rare disease called Systemic Scleroderma back in 1997. This is an auto-immune disese that has affected her lungs and breathing ability. The doctors at the time were not sure what to do, and did not give her long to live. Since then she has been a fighter against this disease. She has endoured Chemotheropy, multiple tests and many many medicines she continues to take daily, as well as now being put on Oxygen 24/7. The UVA Medical staff has been wonderful to work with and finally have said that she NEEDS new lungs in order to live much longer. Over the past few months mom has gone thru multiple tests for the Lung Transplant Evaluation. All of the doctors she sees are on board with it and say YES!! YAY!! :-) Her case is being presented this week!!

Here is where we are asking for help.  Once the transplant takes place there are many things that will need to happen including but definatley not limited to... Daily Anti-Rejection Medicine, Rehab stay after the transplant, daily/weakly/monthly stay for mom and myself to help take care of her. (She will have to stay in Charlottesville after the Transplant for at least 2 months) I, with the help of some dear friends will travel back and forth to help take care of her, as well as our beloved fur babies.  Not to mention any other things that may pop up that we don't know about.
