Lumbar decompression surgery following 14 ft fall

In 2011 Darren fell from 14 foot and suffered a double fracture to the Transverse Process within his lower back. He had a hospital stay of 7.5 weeks, and received intense physiotherapy to enable him to regain fitness. At the time he was working as a labourer to help fund his upcoming 3 year Mental Health Nursing degree. With hindsight, he should have made an insurance claim due to negligence, however it is not something he believes in doing, to his detriment! Since qualifying  in 2011 as a Mental Health Nurse he has worked within the NHS. He has always kept himself physically fit (running, karate, gym) however 9 months ago he started to suffer with severe sciatic pain. He was able to self fund 10 chiropractor sessions when he was advised he needed an MRI scan due to no progress with his pain. Following a self funded scan he was advised that he has multiple (3) lower spine disc protrusion problems, which are as a result of his injury in 2011. Again, to speed up his return to work within the NHS he self funded a private consultant appointment and in June 2019 he paid for a Nerve Root Canal Spinal Injection under xray, however this was not successful. He has been advised he now needs a discectomy  (where a section of each damaged disc is removed). The waiting list is 12 months plus and he is unable to self fund a private operation due to spending all our spare money. He has been prescribed numerous medications throughout to help relieve his severe pain with no success. He is desperate to return back to work as a Mental Health Nurse within the NHS and to regain some quality of life, and would be extremely grateful for any generosity that people can provide to help towards his funding a private operation. He has never asked for previous support, but we are in a desperate situation. Thank you in hope.
