Medical Expenses for Luke J. Gegan

My younger brother Luke Gegan, has been suffering for over 6 years with neurological issues that went undiagnosed up until last March. Luke underwent brain surgery to remove a tumor in the left temporal lobe of his brain March 30th.  Unfortunately,  he had to leave college in the middle of his junior year due to how Ill the tumor and medications made him feel and how much it impacted his life. My father has been the main provider for our family for 35+ years and this has left our family such a devastating financial burden that no family should face.  Unfortunately, the many days that he has to take off to be at the hospital with Luke, he doesn't get paid for. He only receives pay for the days he is at work and doesn't get any paid days off. My mother has guided and directed Luke with his medical care and it has left her unable to work in order to be by his side to care for him and drive him to all of his appointments, along with my older brother Joey.  My mother has given of her time volunteering in our local schools. From working one day a week in the cafeteria, sewing costumes for plays, and fundraising for Wildwood Catholic High School. She was on the committee to try and save Our Lady Star of the Sea School from closing. My mother has always given to others and donates regularly to Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Now, my family could use some help, after always reaching out and helping others I truly feel it's time to help them when they need it the most.  At this time my parents should be focusing on caring for Luke post op. instead of having this financial burden heavily  weighing on their minds.
