Lucy's Legacy

Lucy was a beautiful Cavalier King Charles Spaniel that we gave to our parents 4 years ago. 
After the death of dad in late 2016 we were so grateful that mum had Lucy as her constant companion.
On Sunday the 23rd of April, whilst out enjoying her regular aftertoon walk, in Taree west, Lucy was attacked and killed by an unrestrained German Shepherd, mum and neighbours who tried to save Lucy were also injured in the attack.
Mum has been left absolutley shattered and traumatised having now lost (in her own words) 'everything'.
Although Lucy is totally irrreplacable, we would love for her to be able and love & care for another Cavalier from the same breeder.
The cost of a pup from the same breeder is $2000, the extra $$ would go towards desexing, vaccinations and the general costs involved in getting a new pet. 
Lucy was so well known and loved in our local area (as is mum) & we're hoping that our local community will support us in helping mum recover from this horrific incident. The owner of the dog that killed Lucy has yet to even offer an apology and left the scene without providing details or offering any assistance to mum.
