Lucas Moren Celebration of Life

Tragically, James Lucas Moren was murdered at 3:10 AM on December 24th, 2016.  He is survived by his mother, Elann (Lennie) Moren, and many friends who love him very much.

Lennie's wish during this tragic time is to hold a Celebration of Life with family and community members, then cremate Lucas and sprinkle his ashes over Mt. Susitna (Sleeping Lady).

This isn't the first time tragedy has struck this family.  As many of you know, Lennie is the survivor of a machete attack that left her disabled and killed her fiance, Chris Rogers Sr, in 2007.  Lucas has been Lennie's primary caregiver since.

The unexpected and high funeral costs are more than Lennie's fixed income will allow, so we are asking loved ones for help to say goodbye to her son.

We are working on setting up a Memorial Fund Account at Matanuska Valley Federal Credit Union, but due to the fact that it is Christmas Eve, we will not have that information listed until Monday, December 26th.

Lennie is incredibly grateful for the love and support you all are showing during this difficult time.  Information on Lucas' Celebration of Life will be posted as it is arranged.
