Lucas Device for Minonk Ambulance

Minonk Ambulance provides services to a community with the population of 2200 residents. Also serving the communities of Dana and Benson IL, along with several other small communities. The Minonk Ambulance is Located at 636 Jefferson street in Minonk IL. The Community of Minonk is its own small family.
The Lucas device is a machine that does CPR better than any person ever can. With our average time to the hospital being 25 minutes, being able to utilize a Lucas device enroute, it will allow uninterrupted, life saving compressions to be administered, allowing our EMT’s and Paramedics perform other life saving activities to the patient.
The Minonk Ambulance Association is looking to raise funds for a Lucas Device. This lifesaving piece of equipment will be a great asset to the community and our service that consists of two EMT's per shift. This device will provide for quicker transport and better patient management. We at the Minonk Ambulance Association feel that this piece of equipment is beneficial to our community.
The Minonk Ambulance Association is constantly upgrading our equipment to better service our community and the communities we serve. We rely heavily on our annual fundraisers to fund these upgrades and have started setting money aside for this critical lifesaving device. We recently were able to upgrade our cardiac monitors to the Life Pak 15 before our older cardiac monitors became unserviceable. Minonk was able to purchase a brand new stryker stair chair from memorials from two local community members last year. That stair chair was and is a huge asset to this town and this service. From that family's loss they gave to the community and that speaks volumes on this small towns generosity.
Minonk Ambulance Association will be having a garage sale on April 27th to help with the cost and will be taking donations for the sale.
If we save ONE life with this device it will be worth every penny spent!
