Help Lual share his vision

Who is Lual?

Lual Mayen is a the founder of JUNUB Games, a South Sudanese community of coders, game developers, artists, designers, and game lovers. Lual's games are promoting peace in a country on the brink of genocide.

He and his team are creating digital and physical games for peace. Their games are to be played by South Sudanese youth and refugees in camps across the country and Uganda, encouraging resistance to violence and promoting peaceful activities. Lual and his team are currently working on a gaming project to prevent hate speech.

This year, Lual hosted the very first Global Game Jam in South Sudan in January, 2017.

Travel Plans

Currently, Lual is attending an eight week accelerator program in Washington, DC. His travels will begin at the end of the program in May, and will be for 20 days. 

We would like to help Lual travel throughout the US, with focus on visiting cities that have major game development and tech industries. 

With your support, we would like to send Lual to Austin, LA, SF, and Seattle.

You Can Support Lual by helping him raise the money for his travel expenses through the US.

Lual is also looking to meet friends and developers in the cities he travels through, so if you are located in any of the cities on the travel plan, let us know!
 
Your campaign support will go to Tyler, who is assisting with the planning for Lual. Remaining funds will be directly transferred to Lual for the purchase of meals and other travel expenses.
