Lt. Jacob Shadd Rohwer Memorial

Donation protected

Lt. Jacob Shadd Rowher, dedicated 19 years of service to the Farmington Fire Dept., he lost his battle with cancer on January 11, 2018.  He was 44 years old.  His passing was sadly our department's first line of duty death (LODD).  Throughout his career, Shadd was dedicated to safety for himself and the safty of his peers and wished for this legacy to continue. Shadd was an avid skier, rafter,  road and mountian biker and contineually promted people to wear their safety gear.
The funds will be used to build a memorial, dedicated to his legacy, and will be placed near the river that he loved so much! The funds will go into a personal account (Eric Hickerson, committee member)and then a check will be deposited directly into the account started by the Farmington Firefighters Memorial Commitee and will pay for the construction of the memorial.  These funds will be accounted for by committee members and used to pay for the constitution of the site where the memorial will sit. The site is where FFD Technical Rescue Team and Rescue 3 International often do trainings. He was an active member for both orgainizations.  This will be a place for all to relax and enjoy the river and hear his message. The photo of the memorial is to show an approximation of what will be built in his honor.
His brothers in the fire service are putting this memorial together to remember this amazing firefighter, freind, brother and son. Their hope is to have it built and dedicated by Memorial Day 2018. Any amount helps!
