Loving Brian, Loving Life

Our cousin Brian (husband to our cousin Trina), was recently feeling unwell. What was expected to be a urgent care/quick care visit quickly turned to more concern. After some testing, scans, biopsy it was confirmed, Brian was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic Cancer itself is aggressive and one of the most difficult cancer to be diagnosed with. Unfortunately Brian has been diagnosed with an extremely rare case that only effects 1% of the pancreatic cancer cases. This specific kind of cancer called squamous cell carcinoma, has spread to his pancreas, stomach, liver and now lymph nodes. It’s so rare to get this type of cancer in your organs. Brian’s cancer is stage 4....terminal.
He’s been given two treatment options at this point and it’s up to him which of the two chemo options he would like to take, if any....but since this is terminal, time is limited.
Brian, a first responder, father, husband, friend to many and our cousin....has little time. Everything in our hearts and heads ache for him. There isn’t anything we can do medically.....
BUT, we can give them the opportunity to spend each day together as a family, enjoying the time they have together.
If you were given a short window of time to get with your family, what would you do? What bucket list would you make? We initiated this “go-fund-me” for them to use for their family bucket list, and to help with costs to keep Brian in a place to enjoy his time with his wife, children.
Friends, family, random internet strangers.....any contribution you can make is greatly appreciated.
