Loving & Healing Hands For Buddy

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Eddie Parsons and I adopted Buddy from Andy Sortman from Salisbury Maryland September 2018 and brought him  home when 2 weeks afterwards Buddy was attacked by the neighbors dog but happened to get away without injury. My little buddy was traumatized and ran away. He was missing for a week before he came back. On December 22nd 2018 my little Buddy was attacked again  by the same dog which resulted in extensive injury to buddy and my father had to borrow money since I was out of work at the time and he didn't have it to have him treated by a veterinarian. Buddy had healed in a short time returning to his happy self again. All of the proper authorities were contacted and it was reported which nothing was really done except for the neighbors dog being quarantined to make sure he didn't have rabies but on April 28th 2019 my little Buddy was attacked again and again the proper authorities were contacted. It was documented but the only thing that the authorities did such as animal control was quarantine the attacking dog for 10 days then was returned back to its owner and only given a $100 fine and a slap on the hand while on the other hand I had to pay a $2,000 vet bill with no help from the neighbours. just recently May 30th 2019 I was walking out my front door with Buddy on a retractable leash and when Buddy went out the door down the bottom of  the steps he glanced over at the neighbors before I made it out of my house and down the steps, he happened to take off running around the house with me still holding on to his leash. I then realized what was happening. The neighbors dog had gotten lose again and was after my dog. buddy managed to avoid the Pitbull and run back up the steps to my house but it was too late the Pitbull already had him before I could get him back in the house and shut the door. I fought with this dog that was attacking my dog each and every time that it happened except for the first time when Buddy ran away. This last time me fighting to save my dog I was able to separate them. I got to my feet took a few steps with Buddy in my arms and lost Consciousness and fell to the ground while my frightened little buddy ran away from being traumatized by this Pitbull. Buddy was missing for 5 days nowhere in sight which had me worried not knowing how bad the neighbor's dog had injured him from this vicious attack. I looked for my little buddy everyday when on Tuesday June 4th my dad and I took off through the woods to look for buddy and within a short time we were able to find him. Buddy started to run but when I called him he turned around and realized that it was me so he came to me limping and I saw his leg and it didn't look too good. He was covered in ticks where he was out there in the woods and weeds for 5 days. I took him to the vet right away and was told that I would have to take him to a specialist because where the bone had been exposed for the last 5 days he was going to have to have his leg probably amputated. So now this is what I am faced with to save my dog's life and it has costed me a lot of money to the point of being overwhelmed financially and emotionally exhausted cuz I don't make that much and it takes me awhile to save money due to other living expenses that I also have to pay. All 4 attacks the neighbors have not once been responsible enough to offer me one red cent or were not even one time concerned for the welfare of myself and my little Buddy. I am asking at this time if anybody is a pet owner and loves their animals put yourself in my shoes to know how I am feeling right now. I've never asked anyone in my whole life for anything that I can get on my own but my back is up against the wall so I am pleading with the public to please help if you can. Every little bit helps and it's not for me it's to benefit the welfare of Buddy and his recovery. The biggest threat is gone now cuz Animal Control after being attacked four times finally seized the dog but it shouldn't of took that many times for them to realize that the neighbors dog was very dangerous not only to me and my dog but others as well so any and all help would be greatly appreciated thank you Eddie Parsons
