Invest in Our Children
Sherry watched over the LoveLight office, which was located next to her beauty shop, The Style House, and provided support to LoveLight’s efforts as well as to me personally. The Style House reminded me of Steel Magnolias, with her various regular customers forming a community of friends. In addition, her shop served as an informal incubator, where people brought items such as beautiful butterflies made from plastic pop bottles, and wreaths and other goods at Christmas, which Sherry offered for sale at very reasonable prices. To me, she was an angel long before she left us, and I will always treasure her friendship.
Sherry was very supportive of the idea of finding a building to house LoveLight services to the community, including a child development/early learning center (STARCHILD). If you would like to make a contribution in Sherry’s memory, please be sure to mention that in the comment section on our GoFundMe page, www.gofundme.com/lovelightcares and feel free to share a memory of Sherry. If you prefer to send a check to P.O. Box 123 Kent, Ohio 44240, please put Sherry’s name on the memo line, and if you would like to share something about Sherry, we will post it on our GOFUNDME and Facebook pages. Thank you for helping us to honor the memory of this wonderful lady.

Thanks to our wonderful Board member, Jerry Feezel, and his wife, Jenelle, who donated $100 as part of The LoveLight University & Community Challenge: Show Love, Share Love, Spread Love to raise the money needed to buy the building. The Challenge is among Kent/Kent State, University of Akron/Akron, and Youngstown State/Youngstown. Please join us to see which of the three can raise the most money and be sure to designate which one you'd like to credit for your donation.
