Love for Lennon Fundraiser
...Anyone who knows of Josh & Cara Myers knows their hearts to help others...
Please become a "Friend of Josh and Cara Myers" by showing your support during their high-risk pregnancy. This couple has sown abundantly into so many lives, so let's pay it forward and help them now in their time of need.
The physicians believe their unborn baby, Lennon Joel Myers, has Renal Agenesis, a rare condition where the baby’s kidneys, bladder and lungs do not fully develop.
Sadly, this is not Josh and Cara’s first experience with Renal Agenesis. On September 11, 2001, during the terrorist attacks, Cara gave birth to their 4th child, Zachary Matthew Myers. Those in NY and PA suffered monumental loss on 9/11 as did Josh and Cara. Their infant son Zachary passed away that same day.
This condition is a rare occurrence seldomly happening twice in the same family.
HOW CAN WE HELP?
If you don't know Josh and Cara personally, let me give you a brief description of this beautiful couple.
We have grown to love Josh and Cara as our own family. We've watched how they serve in our church and community for over 20 years. We've seen them give their time, their money and their hearts to those in need. They never hesitate to inconvenience themselves for others.
They have three awesome kids - Corey, Lexi and Dawson. Each child is talented and all love God. They are amazing parents with children we are all proud of.
Medical expenses for Lennon will be large and thankfully Cara and Lennon are covered under her employer's insurance (thank you Word of Life Church).
Our hope is to pay the deductibles and the out-of-pocket expenses for both Cara and Lennon. This will give the family (1) the peace of mind to focus on their faith in the Lord Jesus (we all are believing for a miracle), (2) to focus on Corey, Lexi and Dawson, and (3) to believe a miracle for their unborn baby, Lennon.
PLEASE HELP US MEET THIS GOAL! Every donation, no matter how large or how small, will work us toward the $25,000 goal. Friends, I KNOW WE CAN DO IT! It's jsut a matter of donating, sharing with your friends and asking them to help meet the goal. It's attainable so let's attain!
Please help us love them and support them.

On August 21, 2014 at 5:48 pm. Lennon Joel Myers was absent from his beautiful little body and present with The Lord.
He died the most peaceful way any human could ever pass surrounded by his brothers Corey, Dawson, his sister Lexi and laying on his beautiful Mommy's chest. He lived for over 2 hours without any machines.
The Drs. And nurses were all astounded of how long he lasted without machines and said they really felt that he was comfortable being with his family surrounded by love. They said it was the most awing death experience they had witnessed and would never forget us. Lennon left us with love and smiles.
Personally I want to say I am so proud of my family and their love holding up Lennon. I really am the luckiest guy on earth to have them!! I love you family!!
Today we came for a routine Children's Mercy appointment only to find out it was critical to deliver Lennon today. Lennon is here!
Let me say, Lennon is stable but critical. He is hooked up to many machines being evaluated. He is nowhere out of the woods. Lennon just began a journey of more life threatening hurdles to get through than one person should ever encounter in a lifetime.
We trust God no matter what. Please pray for Lennon Joel Myers right where you are. I also want to say, please, please, please DO NOT try to visit as visitors are not yet allowed. Right now things are very critical. We love all of you and will be able to have visitors at some point but now isn't the time.
Pray for Cara and her recovery from a C section. Pray for us to make the right decisions. Please hear me out when I say these are very hard decisions. Pray for grace and peace. Thank you!!!
He is beautiful!!!!
