Love thru Leukemia 4 Jamie Stevens

On January 15, 2018, exactly one year from Jamie's last radiation treatment, we discovered that our family was going to have to fight a second battle against cancer. Except this time, instead of battling breast cancer while pregnant, Jamie was going to be fighting Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  For the last 165 days, this disease has taken over every aspect of our lives and we are struggling financially, emotionally, and physically. The treatments that Jamie has endured include several sessions of intense chemotherapy, blood and platelet infusions, 4 bone marrow biopsies, total body radiation, mucositis and esophagitis resulting in her being in much pain and placed on liquid nutrition through her IV line, hospital admissions for infections, multiple medications and anti-rejection drugs, a stem cell transplant, and continuing treatment for several more years!   Jamie was terminated from her job and lost her health insurance in June 2016. This left us in financial despair as we had to purchase health insurance that was nearly triple the cost of her employer-based plan on top of the additional medical bills. Josh's job has been our only source of income since, as Jamie has been physically unable to return to work. Due to our poor financial situation, our family moved into the basement of Jamie's parents' house. We have been borrowing one of their vehicles, as our vehicle broke down last summer. After Jamie's slow, but hopefully full recovery from Leukemia, she still needs several surgeries to complete her mastectomy and then reconstruction. We cannot afford the financial drain of lost wages and traveling expenses to Hershey. As Jamie will need specialized care for several years, we need to relocate closer to Jamie's hospital. The purpose of our GoFundMe campaign is to have the ability to relocate and pay for a year of rent up front, recover lost wages, and pay for several of Jamie's medicines.
