We all lost a great friend on Wednesday, August 15th who has gone way too soon. Miguel Mendoza touched all of our lives in so many different ways. Miguel was fighting a very hard battle with cancer that had spread throughout his body. He was relentless and fought very hard with the love and support of so many friends and family.
He was such a great father, husband, brother, friend, and colleague. He was always quick to laugh, willing to lend a hand to anyone in need, and would never expect praise or a thank you in return. To Miguel, going the extra mile was just who he was—he was always eager to help and didn't think his willingness was anything but normal. It didn't matter whether help was needed late at night or on a weekend, he would always be willing to help with a positive attitude. He could fix almost anything or knew someone who could and would try to help in any situation. He was one of the hardest working people and everyone who knew him feels they are better to have known him and lucky to have him in their lives.
Miguel's family needs our support. Due to his intensive medical care, the bills have become increasingly high. His wife Maria and son Miguel Jr. need some financial assistance as they work through what is a tragic situation. Please give anything you can because every little bit will help this amazing family. We have set it up so that as the donated funds are received through the campaign I will be writing a personal check to Maria to pay down Miguel's medical expenses.
Rest in peace Miguel. We will all be thinking of you and extremely thankful for all the times we had together. Everyone will always remember your contagious smile and huge heart.
