Love For Logan, Hope for the Future

We have such an amazing opportunity to save or change Logan's life! Logan is part of a gene therapy trial that being done in San Francisco, California. His surgery date is December 18th. It is a very long brain surgery where they inject a healthy gene vector into Logan's brain. Afterwards, our family will have to stay in California until March for follow up and testing required by the study.

While a lot of things are covered in the study, there is also a lot of expenses that are not. We have to pay for my husband and Logan's father to fly out and back two times, which is very expensive this time of year. He is also out of paid time off because we had to go out there in October so we are losing one whole paycheck right at Christmas, which is hard on us. There are a lot of small incidentals that add up, like luggage fees, food, travel and gas. Its going to be a really trying time for our family but we are so excited for the opportunity to have Logan be a part of this trial and we are so excited to see what changes this could bring him. So far the results of the trial have been very successful.

We have also made awareness bands that say "Love for Logan, Hope for the Future" and we are happy to mail them to anyone who donates to Logan's cause. Please just get your address to me after you donate and I will do my best to mail them out asap. 

We appreciate our friends and family that have supported Logan in this journey. I know so many people have been hoping and praying for him and that alone is just amazing.
