Louis recovery fund
My beautiful cat Louis has taken ill and is in desperate need for treatment...
Since disappearing two weeks ago he hasn't really been the same, and turned for the worse late yesterday evening.
After an intense examination last night it was found that he was quite sore/tender on the left side of his body around his kidney area and left side of his stomach, his temperature was elevated and he was in distress...
They also discovered that he has a heart murmur that will need to be looked at.
The funds that I am trying to raise are for his initial consultation last night, plus the treatment that will need to be carried out today including x-rays, ultrasound and pain medication. I will look at what needs to be done after all the results come back in today from his x-rays and ultrasounds...
I lost my cat Gucci back in May after a huge 5 week battle after being attacked by a dog... I can't bear to lose another....
Unfortunately for me my funds are extremely limited, so I am asking for help to help me at least fund this first part of his treatment/consultation.
Louis is a rescue cat whom I rescued from Blacktown Pound. For some reason nobody was really interested in adopting him, even though he was the most beautifu looking cat and was still quite young (6 months old). In fact he wasn't even registered in their database and was found by one of the volunteers that worked there up in the rafters of the cage he was put in. He was "lost" in their system for around 2 weeks, so really had no chance of being discovered on their database or website and would have had no chance of adoption had the volunteers not seen him. He was originally deemed "wild" and was in consideration of being put to sleep also.
After discovering him the volunteers then were able to stop him from being euthanized for being "deemed wild" and decided to try to rehome him and advertised him on Facebook. This is where I came across him and his story, fell in love with him as soon as I saw his photo and I adopted him.
He wasn't the friendliest cat when I first met him at the holding facility, but as soon as I mentioned that I would adopt him his whole persona changed and he snuggled into my neck and started purring... It was like he knew I was saving him... Obviously he was meant for me.
It didn't take him long to settle into my home and he is the most adorable and friendliest cat I have ever owned. He is a real "mummy's boy". He often brings me presents (rats)... mostly alive, so there have been many times where I have had to capture the live mouse/rat inside my home to rescue and save it and place it back outside... I have been bitten 5 times and had to go on antibiotics 5 times from trying to save 'my presents', but I just can't kill an animal... no matter what it is.
Louis is very loved by my clients and he always greets them at the door or comes in to my tanning area to say hello and sit by the heater in my tanning room... All my clients think he is adorable.
It's very rare for me to ask for money and set up a GoFundMe account (the only other time I have done it before was for my cat Gucci), but I really need help with the finances with this. I'm still trying to pay off the costs of Gucci's medical bills, so I am really struggling to find the cash to be able to help Louis....
A small donation is all I am asking from people.. even a $5 or $10 donation from each of my Facebook friends would be more than enough to help me with Louis' first stage of treatment.
Louis is not ready to meet up with Gucci and cross the raindbow bridge just yet.... i need him here with me...
