MIRIAM LOUENE NAKAGAWA MEDICAL EXPENSES AND MEMORIAL FUND

I am setting up this memorial fund to help the Nakagawa family pay for medical and funeral expenses for their beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother, who passed away tragically and unexpectedly.

On Thursday April 20th, we lost a truly beautiful soul. Louene married her high school sweetheart, Lance, and anyone who knew them, could see that they had the type of love that gives the term "soul mates" it's definition. When her husband was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May of 2012, she took care of him through his cancer scare and ignored her own health. Lance is still undergoing cancer treatments, and with the loss of his beautiful wife, he is at a loss. Louene started having breathing problems from Interstitial Lung Disease. She suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis, which she was diagnosed in 1983 and spent many years battling the disease. In 2010, she was diagnosed with Interstitial Lung Disease, which was the result of her severe Rheumatoid Arthritis. Louene was admitted into the hospital the end of March and was immediately transferred to ICU. About three weeks ago a blood clot formed and went into her lungs and it started an autoimmune problem that started attacking her body. Louene also developed Fibrosis. Doctors called her condition "the perfect storm." After a severe attack, due to the lack of oxygen in her lungs, Louene was placed into a medically induced coma and intubated on Easter, which sadly, she never awoke from.

Louene was always happy despite the constant pain she was in. She was always making sure those around her were loved, happy and taken care of. She will be forever loved and missed by those who's hearts she touched.
