Lou's Cancer Fighting Defense Fund

I would like to say that this year, I am "donating" my birthday to Texas Oncology and Medical Center of Plano... but rather than putting it in their general charitable fund, I need it to go towards my bills there. The team at MCP has been excellent with my 3 surgeries this year, and the professional staff at Texas Oncology is unparalleled. I just need to pay them.
For those of you who don't know, I began the year with an emergency lithotripsy (a procedure to destroy and remove a kidney stone that was too large to pass). In February, I began shedding the lining of my intestines, causing internal bleeding. This eventually became diagnosed with Stage 2 Colon Cancer. The surgeons under Dr. Flores at TCRS performed surgery and removed a mass along with two feet of my intestinal tract.
After a two month recovery, my chemo treatments began. The surgeons at MCP installed a mediport in my chest (a device that allows them to deliver my chemo). Unfortunately, besides the not-insignificant toll the chemo is taking on my body, the port sits on a nerve in my pectoral muscle preventing me from lifting more than 15-20 pounds.
I am not in a physical condition to be able to work.
Thankfully, I have insurance. The lithotripsy came in at $27,800, and the cancer / chemo tab is at $277,000 and still climbing. My total out of pocket for the year is around 10% of that, including deductibles, co-pays, and the nine prescriptions I'm currently on.
Whatever help you can give is appreciated. Thank you!
