Lou Lou OH1224 came into our rescue in January of this year from a shelter. She was just skin and bones; she was surrendered to the shelter because of the owner's failing health. They could not care for her any longer.
Lou Lou came in with severe diarrhea that turned out to be giaridia - she kept re-infesting herself by eating her poop. Currently is seems like that is one hurdle we have overcome but time will tell if it's finally solved.
Lou Lou had several tests run to determine why her skin was so bad and is currently on the antibiotics that are recommended from the skin culture. Lou Lou had some dental work done which showed slight elevations in her liver. More blood work was done after she was moved to a new foster home (only because she needed to be an only dog and was not where she was previously). This new blood work showed that her liver was not doing well. Lou Lou is in need of several other tests in order to determine out if we can get these elevations to come down.
This is where we are asking for help from everyone in the group to step up and help. No amount is too small and every dollar counts so please help if you can. Miss Lou Lou thanks you for helping her live her best life!!

More information about Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue: We rescue Boston Terriers in need in the states of Michigan, Ohio, Illinois and Indiana. We address any issues the dog may have that caused him/her to be surrendered or abandoned. We provide public awareness of pet over population by spaying and neutering rescued Bostons. We provide breed education and training assistance to adoptive homes. We strive to provide each Boston Terrier in need a safe, healthy home environment.
