Dear family & friends,

I would like to ask you a personal favour. As most of you know, I am currently training hard to win Olympic gold at the Triathlon in Japan 2020. Triathlon combines my elite swimming background, my family history of naturally powerful bike riding endurance and recent track record of proven running ability.

I have already been selected by the Dutch Triathlon Federation to represent Holland in the International Triathlon Union, World cup and I am currently in the top 400 globally and 10th for Holland. For selection in the Olympics I need to be at least 140 in the world and compete well in 7 of the 12 international selection events this year (from starting June in Holland) and another 7 out of 12 next year.

I am 100% confident I can do this and look forward to this amazing journey. It will take hard work and endurance, great coaching, and competing at all the critical global championships to get me to the selection for Japan.

And that is where I would like to ask for your support. To help raise enough money for the required coaching and the ability for me to participate at those key championships.

Donations from as little as a few dollars to bigger sponsorships promoting your business are all very welcome.

Also, to make it even more attractive to donate, Chris Walker is personally committing one month of free coaching with him for everyone who donates more than $500. You can use this month as a gift to someone you think could benefit from this. In this way, donating to my Olympic journey will help to open even more hearts.

Looking forward to hear from you,

Lotte Wilms

ps. In case you happen to have spare frequent flyers miles you could donate - that would be more than appreciated as well. Just send me a message.

Yesterday my 3th ITU World Cup triathlon @antwerpen

You can be a good swimmer like I’m but when you have a delay on your start like I did yesterday it turned out in a big learning process. I finally manage to squeeze myself through the other women and survived my swim.
The bike course was for 45% cobblestones what was fun. I never raced my bike on cobblestones and did some practising the days before the event. Unfortunately my technique was not good enough to keep up with the pelaton. I had the great courage to ride hard and run by myself. The Belgium/ Dutch crowed where amazingly supportive!

I know I have a powerful strong mind that can overcome all challenges no matter what happens to me. I’m on track on a perfect way!

The first competition in Europe is in the pocket: the Dutch Championship 2 days ago and I got 3th. My first championship in the Netherlands and straight away a podium place!

I had a few mishaps in my race and that costed me some seconds/ minutes.

My goggles got so foggy after 500 mtr swim that I could n't see the difference between the lake and the cloud cover and so I passed the exit and lost my 50 mtr lead straight away. After the first transition on the bike I tried to use my gears but nothing happen. I looked down and saw that my cable was out of my electric gears. So brave I'm ;-), I stopped and fixed my gears and powered up to 50 km an hour to catch the peloton and that works! Unfortunately the woman who came Dutch Championship already powered away from the peloton and I couldn't catch here anymore.

This is triathlon: expect the unexpected. My mental strength was unbelievable strong during this event and my 'failures ' during the race are good learning processes to come closer to the success.

Next race is at Sunday the 10th of June in Weert, the Olympic Distance Triathlon European Union Cup.

In the mean time I'm training, rest and recovering. I got a lot of support back in the Netherlands from family and friends who all do there best to make this European trip unforgettable. I'm blessed. Thank you to my sponsored who donated. If you know any body who love to support me, please forward.
