Lost job - Start Small Business

Hello.

In June, I lost my job.  I have gone through several interviews, and the job market here is not good.  I have been working odd jobs in the area between interviews, and have noticed a need in my community - a need for weedeating.

I have a clapped out Echo SRM225 that's been running for 8 years but is losing power, even with a new carb.  To really bring value to the customers (and enable me to tackle extremely nasty jobs), I need a powerful weedeater that can take a blade attachment.  My friend and former coworker in the landscaping industry owns a small engine shop and is a dealer for several noteworthy companies and gave me some advice about durable, professional grade equipment.

I was going to use my check for some of my odd jobs to get this kicked off, but then ran into some very unfortunate car trouble which took many hundreds of dollars and a week and a half of my time to deal with, and so I've decided to come to kickstarter to beg.

I've done some estimating, and 500$ would get me the new weedeater, the brush cutting accessories, what little personal protection equipment I don't already have, gas cans, a spool of string, business cards, and let me begin immediately.  There's a good two and a half months left in the season here.  

I'm frustrated at just begging for money, but I feel like I need to do this to keep the bills paid, and it's something I can still do on the side even when I find full time employment.
